Ramallah – Saba:
The Palestinian Prisoners' Affairs Commission and the Palestinian Prisoners' Club announced on Tuesday that Israeli occupation authorities have issued and renewed administrative detention orders against 81 Palestinian detainees.
In a joint statement, the Commission and the Club explained that the occupation continues to escalate the crime of administrative detention, issuing more than 350 orders over the past week, under the pretext of a "secret file."
They pointed out that the number of administrative detainees represents the highest percentage compared to the number of convicted prisoners and detainees in Israeli enemy prisons, which has witnessed an unprecedented increase since the beginning of the genocide in the Gaza Strip, with their number currently standing at 3,562.
The Palestinian Prisoners' Affairs Commission and the Palestinian Prisoners' Club noted that the list includes the names of some detainees against whom a substantive order (a final administrative detention order) was issued. However, after declaring a state of emergency, the occupation extended their detention for 15 days, subject to renewal if the state of emergency is extended.
