Sana'a – Saba:
The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning forecasts on Saturday hot to very hot and dry conditions in desert and coastal plains, with temperatures soaring between 38 and 44 degrees Celsius. Coastal areas will experience hot and humid weather, with highs between 35 and 39 degrees Celsius.
Meanwhile, a chance of varying intensity rainfall, possibly accompanied by thunder, is expected in Ibb, Taiz, Dhamar, Raymah, Mahweet, and Hajjah governorates. Isolated showers are also likely in parts of Sa'ada, Amran, Dhale', Bayda, and the highlands of Lahj, Abyan, and Shabwa, as well as the Socotra Archipelago and eastern coastal areas.
Mariners should also take note: strong to very strong winds are anticipated at the entrance to Bab al-Mandab, southern coasts, and around the Socotra Archipelago, with speeds up to 30 knots and gusts reaching 38 knots, leading to high waves and rough seas.
The Center urges residents in hot areas to avoid direct sun exposure in the afternoon and stay hydrated. Those in rain-affected areas are advised to steer clear of floodwaters. Seafarers, fishermen, and ship captains should exercise caution due to the expected rough sea conditions.
