Member of the European Parliament and Chair of the Committee on Relations with Palestine Lynn Boylan said on Thursday that Israel is trying to suppress any discussions or meetings addressing its crimes against civilians in the Gaza Strip.

Boylan added, in a press statement carried by Shehab News Agency, that Israel targets academics, politicians, journalists, and anyone who reports on the war crimes it is committing against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.

She called for the imposition of sanctions on Israel and the suspension of trade agreements with it to compel it to halt its brutal aggression.

The European Parliamentarian condemned the facilitation of arms sales to Israel by European Union countries, stressing the need to stop the genocide in Gaza, halt the arming of Israel, and recognize the Palestinian state.
