Tehran – Saba:
Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Aziz Nasirzadeh said on Wednesday that if the nuclear negotiations with Washington fail to reach a result and conflict is imposed on Iran, the United States will be forced to leave the region.
Iranian News Agency (IRNA) quoted Nasirzadeh as saying: "In the event of any potential aggression against our country, the losses on the other side will be greater, and the United States will be forced to leave the region."
He added: "Unfortunately, during the direct nuclear negotiations, some American officials made threats that conflict would occur if an agreement is not reached."
He added, "We hope that the negotiations will lead to a result, but if they do not, and a conflict is imposed on us, there is no doubt that the other side's losses will certainly be much greater than ours. In this case, America will be forced to leave the region because all its bases are within our reach. We can reach them, and we will target all of them in the host countries."
He continued, "We have achieved significant achievements in the defense field. Our operational forces are operating at full capacity, and our most recent achievement was the successful test of a missile with a two-ton warhead, which was conducted a week ago."
In response to a question about raising military issues with the aim of imposing restrictions on Iran, Brigadier General Zadeh explained, "We do not accept military restrictions in any form, and no one has the right to negotiate in this regard."
