Hodeida – Saba:
The Guidance Sector and the Scholars and Learners Unit in Hodeida Governorate on Wednesday organized a cultural symposium to commemorate the Guardianship of Imam Ali (peace be upon him), under the slogan "Whoever I am his Guardian, then this Ali is his Guardian."
The event highlighted the Prophet Muhammad’s (peace be upon him and his family) historic sermon at Ghadir Khumm and its significance in affirming Imam Ali’s leadership. Discussions also reflected on post-Ghadir events and the need for renewed allegiance to the Prophet’s family.
Hodeida first undersecretary and Head of General Mobilization Ahmed al-Bishri emphasized that the strength and dignity of the nation rely on following the Prophet's guidance.
He said commemorating the Day of Allegiance reaffirms the Yemeni people's commitment to Imam Ali’s values in resisting oppression and confronting global arrogance, particularly from the U.S. and Israel.
Abdulrahman al-Warfi, Head of the Guidance Sector, stressed that such commemorations reflect Yemenis’ deep-rooted loyalty to God, His Messenger, and Imam Ali—values that anger the enemies of the nation.
Sheikh Ali Sumal, Head of the Scholars and Learners Unit, called on the public to use this occasion to renew steadfastness and emulate Imam Ali’s courage. He emphasized aligning with the directives of the revolutionary leader, Sayyed Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, particularly in support of the Palestinian cause.
Cultural figures Mohammed al-Ahdal and Yahya al-Qudimi underscored the educational value of the occasion, calling it a platform to instill the principles of guardianship in future generations and to strengthen the nation’s resistance against tyranny.
