London – Saba:
The United Kingdom has announced sanctions on two far-right Israeli ministers for their inflammatory and extremist statements regarding the aggression on the Gaza Strip in Palestine.
The BBC reported on Tuesday that the sanctions targeted war criminals in the Israeli government: National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir and Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich.
The BBC reported that the sanctions include freezing their assets in the UK, banning them from entering the UK, and prohibiting British financial institutions from dealing with them.
The BBC quoted British Foreign Secretary David Lammy as saying that the two ministers "incited extremist violence and committed gross violations of Palestinian human rights."
With American and European support, the Israeli enemy army has continued to commit genocidal crimes in the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023. This has resulted in the deaths of 54,981 Palestinian citizens, the majority of whom are children and women, and the injury of 126,920 others.
To date, this is a preliminary toll, with thousands of victims still buried under the rubble and on the streets, unable to be reached by ambulance and rescue crews.
