Rabat - Saba:
Hundreds of Moroccan citizens gathered on Wednesday in a protest in the western city of Salé, denouncing what they described as American complicity in the crimes committed by the Zionist enemy against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
The protest, which was organized in the historic Bab Mrissa Square, was called for by civil society organizations, most notably the Moroccan Initiative for Support and Advocacy, as part of a series of solidarity events held in cities across the Kingdom since the beginning of the Israeli aggression on Gaza.
Participants raised Palestinian and Moroccan flags, chanting slogans denouncing American support for the enemy and affirming the unity of the Moroccan popular position with the Palestinians.
Among the chants chanted were: "Morocco and Palestine are one people," "Gaza is under siege, and the world is in denial," and "We will never forget Palestine and Al-Aqsa."
In his speech during the vigil, Abdulhafidh al-Sariti, coordinator of the Action Group for Palestine, emphasized the continuation of the Moroccan popular movement in support of Palestine, confirming that activities continue daily in various cities.
Al-Sariti pointed out that the Israeli enemy continues to commit massacres in Gaza, the West Bank, and al-Quds, with direct support from the United States and some Western countries.
He considered that "destruction, corruption, and criminality are inherent characteristics of the enemy's policies."
Since the start of the war on Gaza, Moroccan cities have witnessed almost daily movements expressing widespread popular solidarity with the Palestinian people and demanding an end to the aggression and the lifting of the siege on the Strip.
