Gaza – Saba:
The Palestinian Freedom Movement and its military wing, Ansar Brigades, on Sunday announced their mourning for the "martyrdom" of Dr. Asaad Attia Abu Sharia ("Abu Al-Sheikh"), Secretary-General of the Palestinian Mujahideen Movement, and his brother, Ahmed Attia Abu Sharia ("Abu Palestine"), a member of Mujahideen Movement's General Secretariat. Both were described as prominent leaders in national, Islamic, and jihadist action.
In a statement, the movement asserted that the two "martyrs ascended to heaven as a result of a brutal Zionist raid, after a long journey of struggle and resistance on the path of jihad and martyrdom." The statement claimed that during this period, the "Zionist enemy tasted the pain of their heroic and qualitative operations at the hands of its beleaguered army and herds of settlers."
The movement highlighted that "the martyr Abu Sheikh and his brother, the martyr Abu Palestine, always affirmed, in all jihadi and advocacy arenas, the justness and legitimacy of our Palestinian cause, the injustice done to our people, and their right to self-determination and the liberation of their land and holy sites from the desecration of the Jews."
The Palestinian Freedom Movement and its military wing, the Ansar Brigades, affirmed their commitment to "follow in their footsteps" and "not deviate from the path of resistance and martyrdom." They vowed to "move forward, along with those with us in the resistance factions and the free people of the homeland, with all the determination and resolve of the free, in confronting the Zionist occupier until it is defeated and Palestine is liberated from its river to its sea."
The statement emphasized, "We are all martyrdom projects for the sake of the homeland's freedom and the consolidation of God's religion on the pure land of Palestine. Here we are, in the resistance factions, offering our leaders before the soldiers as proof of the truth of our path and the approach we follow: the path of jihad and martyrdom for the sake of God and resistance to this cancerous Zionist entity until it is uprooted from our land."
The movement concluded by stating that "Palestine will remain a land of jihad and martyrdom, and resistance will remain a burning, glowing ember toward which every free and honorable patriot yearns. The banner of freedom will remain high and fluttering, no matter how much blood and body parts it is covered in, and no matter how much failure it suffers."
