Ramallah - Saba:
Khalil Al-Daqran, spokesman for Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital, warned that the lives of 50,000 pregnant and breastfeeding women are at risk due to the lack of adequate food and medicine, and the six-fold increase in miscarriages compared to before the war, in addition to premature births, at a time when hospitals are suffering from overcrowded incubators.
In an interview with Voice of Palestine on Wednesday, Al-Daqran said that the enemy is continuing its policy of targeting the health system, which is on the brink of collapse. More than 23 hospitals have gone out of service, while the rest operate partially due to shortages of medicines, medical supplies, and fuel.
He added that the enemy is preventing more than 12,000 cancer patients from receiving treatment, leading to the death of five of them daily. A large number of kidney dialysis patients are also dying due to the lack of necessary treatment and the reduction of dialysis sessions due to scarce resources.
