Amran – Saba:
Bonyan Development Foundation on Tuesday commenced the distribution of food baskets to 905 impoverished families in Amran City, coinciding with Eid al-Adha. This initiative is a collaboration with the General Corporation for Cement Manufacturing and Marketing.
At the launch event, Province undersecretary Hassan al-Ashqas and Director of Amran district Abdulrahman al-Imad highlighted the significance of this charitable project. They emphasized that it promotes values of compassion, cooperation, and solidarity, as encouraged by the Prophet Muhammad, especially given the challenging circumstances facing the country.
They commended the Bonyan Foundation's efforts and its active role in various development, relief, and charitable endeavors that target the poor and needy. These efforts aim to alleviate suffering and bring joy, particularly during the blessed days leading up to Eid al-Adha.
Yahya al-Turki, head of the charity bakeries at Bonyan Foundation, explained that this distribution is part of the foundation's broader charitable work to assist the most deprived families in Amran. He noted that this food basket project is the first of its kind implemented by the foundation in Amran, adding that the recipient families are also beneficiaries of the charity bakery project.
