Sana'a – Saba:

A meeting of local authorities and executive offices in the capital Sana'a, chaired by Mayor Dr. Hamoud Ubad, was held on Wednesday to discuss approved work programs aimed at enhancing service performance during the Eid al-Adha holiday.

The meeting, attended by key officials including the Chairman of the Social Affairs Committee, Undersecretaries for the Public Works Sector, Assistant Undersecretaries, and the Executive Director of the Sanitation Fund, reviewed comprehensive plans. These included security, traffic, sanitation, public works, slaughterhouses, parks, and agriculture, among other services.

Attendees also discussed preparations for a large-scale cleaning campaign to remove stalls and waste from markets and streets, set to launch on Eid night across all districts of the Capital Sana'a. Measures to organize and facilitate traffic flow and reduce congestion were also addressed.

The meeting reviewed the readiness and equipment of the Slaughterhouses Office in the Capital Sana'a to handle Eid sacrifices, the preparations of public parks, the sanitation project, public works, enforcement of violations, and the traffic plan for the Eid holidays.

During the session, the Mayor emphasized the importance of concerted efforts and teamwork to elevate the level of services provided to citizens, improve the capital's overall appearance, and ensure a clean and safe environment. He praised the efforts of the traffic department, slaughterhouses, public works, and the Capital Municipality's Awareness Radio programs.

Dr. Ubad stressed the need for all executive and service offices to enhance their preparedness, implement work programs effectively to improve performance during Eid, and continue field monitoring to ensure the completion of tasks and achievement of plan objectives.

He further emphasized the necessity of mobilizing energies and coordinating among all relevant offices to ensure the success of the extensive cleanliness campaign across all the Capital Municipality's directorates in preparation for Eid al-Adha, aiming to present the capital in a manner befitting its cultural status.
