Gaza - Saba:
The government media office in Gaza said that it followed the spread of a video clip showing a number of hungry civilians in Gaza Strip breaking into a warehouse belonging to the United Nations World Food Program (WFP) in the central governorate.
In a statement, the office noted that the Israeli enemy, in an open attempt to mislead and cover up the crime of starvation, rushed to issue a false narrative claiming that the government in Gaza is hiding tons of flour in its warehouses, accusing it of starving the population.
The office emphasized that this allegation by the occupation is a blatant lie and a blatant fabrication that is part of a systematic disinformation campaign aimed at escaping international responsibility for using hunger as a weapon of war against civilians, a crime that amounts to the crime of genocide according to international law.
He added that the incident that occurred in the World Food Program (WFP) warehouse has nothing to do with the Palestinian government in the Gaza Strip or any local party, but is entirely attributable to the United Nations organization, as explicitly confirmed by UNRWA in its official statement, in which it held the "Israeli" occupation directly responsible for pushing the population to take "desperate measures" due to its prevention of the entry of food and humanitarian aid, and its imposition of severe restrictions on the movement of trucks through the crossings.
"The information in our possession and launched by international organizations indicates that it was the occupation army that prevented the World Food Program (WFP) from distributing flour , food aid to needy Palestinian families, and ordered it to be directed exclusively to bakeries as part of what has become known as "starvation engineering", with the aim of controlling the only source of sustenance for the population, turning aid into a tool of humiliation , control, and ensuring the continued starvation of Palestinian civilians and families," he said.
He added that thousands of trucks loaded with aid are parked at the gates of the crossings, which have been closed by the "Israeli" occupation for nearly 90 days continuously, which prevents the entry of aid and food, and even intransigently refuses to open the crossings, which confirms that the ongoing humanitarian disaster is the result of the systematic and deliberate policy of the "Israeli" occupation.
He stressed that the false accusations made by the occupation against the government in Gaza or other local authorities are nothing more than desperate attempts to mislead international public opinion, and are not based on any material evidence, contradict the reports of the United Nations and international human rights organizations, which held the occupation responsible for the outbreak of hunger and food insecurity.
He held the occupation fully responsible for the crime of mass starvation affecting more than 2.4 million Palestinians in Gaza Strip, and called on the international community to break its shameful silence and hold the occupation accountable for its ongoing crimes.
He praised the positions of international and humanitarian organizations that confirm that the population has resorted to desperate measures due to the occupation's policy, and we emphasize the need to expedite the entry of aid through independent and neutral channels, away from the hegemony and control of the occupation.
