The activities of the summer courses for the current year 1446 AH concluded on Wednesday in Dhamar province with a ceremony featuring speeches and honors for outstanding participants, organizers, and entities that contributed to their success.
During the event, the Minister of Youth and Sports, Dr. Mohammed Al-Mawlid, emphasized the role of summer courses and activities in preparing a generation equipped with the values of knowledge and awareness, cognizant of their religious, national, and pan-national responsibilities.
He noted that this generation is expected to champion the causes of the nation and confront challenges aimed at undermining it, thwarting schemes seeking to corrupt societies through soft warfare and other means.
Minister Al-Mawlid described the summer courses and activities as an enlightening platform for youth, instilling Quranic teachings, authentic faith-based values, loyalty to the homeland, and reinforcing religious identity in the hearts of the younger generations. He expressed his hopes that participants would benefit from the skills and knowledge acquired during the courses.
He pointed out that the participants, through their presentations, reflected their strong determination and the invaluable benefits they gained as a Quranic generation embodying the faith-based identity bestowed upon Yemen by God. He also appreciated the role of parents who encouraged their children to join the summer courses.
Minister Al-Mawlid urged graduates to embody what they learned in their morals, interactions, behaviors, and societal roles.
For his part, Dhamar Governor Mohammed Al-Bukhayti highlighted the importance of summer courses in refining students' skills, arming them with Quranic culture, Islamic principles, authentic values, and shielding them from the dangers of foreign influences and soft warfare.
He noted that the enemies' discomfort with these courses is clear evidence of their effectiveness in protecting youth from misguided ideologies and the threats of soft warfare.
The event was attended by members of the Shura Council, provincial deputies, security officials, and representatives from the Scholars' Association. Ahmed Al-Dawrani, the mobilization official, stressed the importance of summer courses in entrenching correct religious concepts, virtuous behavior, and ethics in students.
He acknowledged the success of the summer courses, attributing it to the efforts of official and community institutions, and praised the support of local authorities and contributing entities.
Abdullah Mashrah, the head of the guidance sector in the province, emphasized the role of summer courses in enlightening generations with Quranic teachings, faith-based values, and raising awareness of the nation's issues.
In a speech on behalf of the graduates, student Jalal Al-Samawi expressed gratitude to the organizers, contributors, and teachers who dedicated efforts to their education, training, and spiritual and physical development.
