Hodeida - Saba:
A joint UN delegation, including representatives from OCHA, visited al-Thawra General Hospital Authority in Hodeida to assess the humanitarian situation and medical needs.
They met with local officials and hospital leadership, inspected various departments, and received a briefing on the hospital's challenges, including shortages of equipment, supplies, medicines, and fuel due to power outages.
The hospital chairman noted the limited support from some humanitarian organizations.
Ambassador Ismail al-Mutawakel emphasized the need for urgent UN action to support the hospital, while Hodeida undersecretary Mohammed Halisi called for expanded health sector interventions.
Rosaria Bruno of OCHA affirmed their commitment to supporting the health sector, particularly in emergency and malnutrition areas, and to working with authorities to increase humanitarian aid.
