The Capital Secretariat Chamber of Commerce and Industry welcomed the decision issued by Prime Minister Ahmed Ghaleb Al-Rahwi regarding the exemption of micro and small enterprises from government fees and the facilitation of their registration procedures and the granting of licenses and necessary approvals.
In a statement, the Chamber considered this decision a qualitative shift in supporting entrepreneurship and enhancing the local economy.
The Chairman of the Chamber’s Board of Directors in the Secretariat, Ali Al-Hadi, affirmed that this decision reflects the political leadership’s interest in expanding the base of economic participation and providing a stimulating environment for entrepreneurs and owners of start-up projects, noting that this step is a fundamental pillar for activating inclusive growth, reducing unemployment, and empowering youth economically.
He pointed out that the Chamber will align with this governmental direction by offering facilitations for young entrepreneurs and expanding the range of services provided by the Chamber’s Entrepreneurship Center in line with the benefits offered by the decision.
Meanwhile, the Director of the Chamber’s Entrepreneurship Center, Mi’ad Al-Qulaisi, confirmed that the center will undertake the implementation of awareness and guidance programs to explain the contents of the decision to entrepreneurs and assist them in maximizing its benefits.
She called for the issuance of unified procedural guides and the provision of appropriate service windows to ease registration and licensing procedures in a way that achieves a tangible impact on the practical reality and encourages youth to enter the labor market.
