New York - Saba:
Louise Waterridge, spokesperson for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), confirmed that hunger in Gaza is only part of the horrors experienced by Palestinian citizens there.
Participating online in the weekly press conference of the United Nations Office in Geneva, she explained that there is enough food in UNRWA warehouses in the Jordanian capital, Amman, to feed 200,000 people for a month.
Watteridge indicated that medical supplies and educational materials are also available, but that Israeli obstacles are impeding the delivery of aid to the Gaza Strip.
