Lisbon – SABA:

Portugal announced on Wednesday evening the summoning of the Israeli ambassador in protest of the shooting targeting a Western-Arab diplomatic delegation in Jenin.

In a statement, the Portuguese Foreign Ministry expressed solidarity with its ambassador, who was part of the delegation, and affirmed it would take "appropriate diplomatic measures" in response to the attack.

Earlier, France and Italy had also summoned their respective Israeli ambassadors for clarifications regarding the Zionist enemy forces' shooting at diplomats in Jenin.
