Sana'a - (Saba):
The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning has forecast scattered rain across several governorates, along with hot weather in the deserts, coastal areas, and plains over the next 24 hours.
The center stated in its weather bulletin that scattered rain, sometimes accompanied by thunder, is expected in parts of the governorates of Taiz, Ibb, the highlands of Lahj, Abyan, and Shabwa.
Scattered rain is also likely in parts of Al Mahwit, western Dhamar, Raymah, Al Dhale'e, western Hadhramaut, southern Al Mahrah, and Socotra.
According to the center, the weather may be hot to very hot and dry in the deserts and coastal plains, with maximum temperatures ranging between 36 and 41 degrees Celsius.
Meanwhile, the weather may be hot and humid in coastal areas, with maximum temperatures ranging between 34 and 37 degrees Celsius.
The center reported that the amount of rainfall measured at the Ma'afer Meteorological Station in Taiz over the past 24 hours was 7.6 mm. Light to moderate rainfall occurred outside the stations in parts of the governorates of Al Mahrah, Socotra, Abyan, Lahj, Ibb, and western Hadramaut.
The center warned citizens against being in or crossing floodwaters during and after rainfall, urging them to take shelter from thunderstorms.
It also warned of hot and extremely hot weather in the deserts, interior plateaus, and coastal plains, and hot and humid weather in coastal areas. It advised against direct exposure to the sun during the afternoon and to drink plenty of fluids.
