Occupied Quds - Saba:
The Islamic Resistance Movement "Hamas" affirmed that the Israeli occupation’s decision to reactivate the so-called "land registration process in Area (C)" in the West Bank and consider it the exclusive legal reference is a practical nullification of all related agreements signed by the Palestinian Authority with the Israeli occupation over years of futile Oslo negotiations.
This move carries serious political and national risks and represents a new step within the annexation and displacement project that the occupation is racing to implement.
In a press statement on Tuesday, the movement emphasized that this decision is not merely an administrative procedure but clearly reflects the occupation’s systematic strategy to impose sovereignty over more than 60% of the West Bank’s lands, amid official silence and weakness from the Palestinian Authority leadership. It further criticized the PA for marginalizing and suppressing any active national or popular role capable of confronting these dangerous settlement policies.
Hamas pointed out that the timing of these decisions coincides with the PA’s continued adherence to security coordination and its illusion of the Oslo Accords, which granted the occupation the time and space to entrench annexation, settlement, and Judaization. This necessitates a unified Palestinian stance that restores the national project’s legitimacy and establishes a comprehensive resistance strategy based on unity, activating all forms of popular, political, and legal confrontation with the occupation.
The movement renewed its call to all Palestinian factions and forces to escalate resistance across all fronts, increase the cost of occupation, intensify local and international efforts to defend the Palestinian cause amid unprecedented threats.
