Ramallah – Saba:
An Israeli occupation military court in "Salem" extended today, Tuesday, the detention of Palestinian journalist Hanin Qawariq (24 years old) from Nablus until next Thursday, under the pretext of what the occupation calls "incitement" on social media.
The Palestinian News Agency (WAFA) quoted Qawariq's lawyer as saying that the Israeli occupation has not yet filed an indictment against her.
The Prisoners' Affairs Commission and the Prisoners' Club stated in a joint statement that journalist Qawariq was arrested on May 7 and later transferred to "Hasharon" prison before being moved to "Damon" prison, where she remains detained.
It is worth noting that Qawariq is among more than 180 journalists who have been arrested since the start of the Zionist genocide against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023. The Israeli occupation continues to detain 50 of them.
