Gaza - Saba:
Mahmoud Mardawi, a leader in the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), mourned the liberated prisoner and mujahid Asma Muhammad Saba'neh, the wife of captive leader Sheikh Jamal Abu al-Hija, who passed away at dawn on Monday after a long struggle with illness.
Mardawi said: "With hearts that believe in God's will and destiny, we bid farewell today to a patient and mujahid mother who carried the banner of steadfastness and resistance in her home, setting a rare example of patience and sacrifice. She was the wife of the steadfast leader Jamal Abu al-Hija, the mother of the martyr Hamza, and the mother of prisoners and fugitives who all embodied the meanings of belonging to Palestine and loyalty to the path of jihad and resistance."
He explained that she passed away after enduring the pain of illness, as well as long years of oppression and deprivation, and saw her sons divided between martyrdom, imprisonment, and persecution, without her resolve faltering or her will wavering.
