Ramallah - (Saba):
The Palestinian Prisoners' Information Office reported that more than 770 Palestinian minors have been arrested from the West Bank since the start of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip last October, all of whom are under the age of 18.
In a statement, the office revealed that these children have been subjected to various forms of beatings, abuse, and psychological and physical humiliation since their arrest.
It noted that the Israeli authorities continue to detain more than 400 children in Ofer and Megiddo prisons in what are known as "junior" sections. This follows the closure of the juvenile section in Damon prison about a month and a half ago, exacerbating the harsh conditions of detention.
The Prisoners' Information Office confirmed that these practices are part of a systematic policy aimed at terrorizing Palestinian children and destroying their future.
It called on international institutions to urgently intervene to pressure the Israeli occupation to halt these violations and ensure that their perpetrators are held accountable.
