Sana'a - Saba:
A meeting held on Sunday in Sana'a, chaired by the Minister of Culture and Tourism, Dr. Ali Al-Yafai, discussed the performance of the field committee tasked with monitoring the quality of tourism services and ensuring that facilities comply with legal requirements for operation.
The meeting, attended by the Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism, Abdullah Al-Washli, the Acting Executive Director of the Heritage and Cultural Development Fund, Dr. Issam Al-Sanini, and tourism specialists, reviewed reports from field inspection committees and complaints submitted by owners of lodging, food, and travel agency establishments. Necessary measures were taken accordingly.
The meeting decided to suspend the committee’s work until complaints regarding violations during field inspections are verified, ensuring legal procedures are followed to safeguard the rights of tourism facility owners as guaranteed by law.
During the meeting, the Minister of Culture and Tourism emphasized the importance of all parties upholding their responsibilities with efficiency and integrity while preserving the rights and freedoms of facility owners as guaranteed by the constitution and laws. He noted that legal measures would be taken against anyone found violating regulations.
He added that the ministry’s formation of the field inspection committee to monitor tourism facilities and rectify their conditions aligns with existing laws, regulations, and the ministry’s duties to improve the quality of tourism services provided to citizens.
Minister Al-Yafai highlighted the ministry’s commitment to enhancing partnership with the private sector, represented by owners of lodging, food, and travel agency establishments, to improve performance and deliver optimal services while safeguarding the rights of citizens and tourism facility owners.
