The Saraya al-Quds - Jenin Battalion, the military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement, announced that it carried out a shooting operation in response to the assassination of Jenin Battalion commander Nour al-Bitawi.
In a statement, Saraya al-Quds said it targeted a gathering of Israeli soldiers at the Jalameh checkpoint as a preliminary response to the assassination of commander al-Bitawi.
