Sana'a - (Saba):
The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning has forecast rain and a light to moderate dust wave affecting desert areas and potentially extending to parts of the interior plateaus and mountainous highlands over the next 24 hours.
The center stated in its weather bulletin that thunderstorms of varying intensity are expected to fall on parts of the governorates of Taiz, Ibb, Dhamar, Raymah, Al Mahwit, Amran, Hajjah, and Sa'dah.
Scattered rain showers, sometimes accompanied by thunder, are likely to fall on parts of the governorates of Sana'a, Al Dhale'e, Al Bayda, and the highlands of Lahj and Abyan.
The center indicated a light to moderate dust wave originating from the eastern and central Arabian Peninsula and is expected to affect the desert areas of the governorates of Al Mahrah, Hadramaut, Shabwah, and Marib, leading to reduced horizontal visibility.
The dust wave is likely to extend to parts of the interior plateaus and mountainous highlands. The center warned citizens against staying in or crossing flood channels and valleys during and after rainfall.
It urged residents of the aforementioned governorates, especially those with chest pain, the elderly, and children, to avoid direct exposure to dust.
It also warned drivers of reduced visibility due to dust, low clouds, and rainfall.
