London - Saba:
Liverpool, the English Premier League champions, have made an official offer to Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne to sign him next summer on a free transfer.
Kevin De Bruyne, 33, previously announced his departure from Manchester City at the end of his contract this season, stating that he had not received an offer to extend his contract and wanted to remain in Europe.
According to Sky Sports Italia, Liverpool, under Dutch coach Arne Slot, sees De Bruyne as a pivotal part of rebuilding the midfield and has already made an offer to sign him immediately after his contract with Manchester City expires, with the option to move to Anfield on a free transfer.
According to informed sources, De Bruyne is dissatisfied with the way Manchester City's management has handled his case. He expressed this openly after the recent victory over Everton, even to club officials such as Ferran Soriano and Txiki Begiristain.
Italian club Napoli had previously expressed strong interest in signing the player, citing De Bruyne's good relationship with his international teammate Romelu Lukaku, which could play a role in convincing him to come to southern Italy.
Meanwhile, American and English Premier League clubs, led by Aston Villa, are monitoring the player's situation in anticipation of entering into negotiations with him.
De Bruyne still has four matches left with Manchester City before the end of the season, against Southampton, Bournemouth, and Fulham, in addition to the FA Cup final against Crystal Palace.
He has also yet to decide whether to be included in the squad for next month's Club World Cup.
