Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi categorically and unequivocally rejected allegations of Iranian involvement in an alleged plot to target the Israeli embassy in London.
In a post on the X platform on Thursday, Araghchi explained that there are media reports of Iranian citizens' involvement in an alleged plot to target the Zionist embassy in London, stressing that Iran has not been informed of any allegations through official diplomatic channels.
He noted that Iran has urged the United Kingdom to cooperate so that we can assist in any investigation related to credible allegations, emphasizing that the timing of these allegations and the lack of official communication raise suspicions that something is amiss.
He pointed out that "previous experience shows that some third parties have consistently sabotaged diplomatic processes and pushed matters toward escalation by resorting to desperate measures, including carrying out operations under false pretenses."
He affirmed Iran's readiness to cooperate in uncovering the truth of what happened and reiterated his call to British authorities to ensure due process for Iranian citizens.
Earlier, Araghchi emphasized that "the Zionist regime's attempts to derail diplomacy between Iran and the United States have become crystal clear." "It's clear to see," he added, "that this entity is using various methods to obstruct the diplomatic process is no longer hidden from anyone."
