Bassem Naim, a member of the Political Bureau of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), confirmed that the resistance insists on a comprehensive agreement and a complete package to end the war and a roadmap for the next day.
Naim said in a press statement on Wednesday that there are desperate attempts ahead of US President Donald Trump's visit. These attempts, through the crime of starvation, the continuation of genocide, and the threat of expanding military action, are aimed at achieving a partial agreement that would return some Israeli prisoners in exchange for a limited number of days of food and drink.
Naim pointed out that there are no guarantees from any party that a ceasefire will be reached, especially with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's threat to resume the war to complete the mission he announced at the beginning of the war, which he and his army have failed to achieve over the past 18 months: "absolute victory and the return of the prisoners."
