Russia's Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Dmitry Polyansky, announced on Tuesday that the Russian Mission to the United Nations has been communicating more effectively with its American counterpart since the arrival of the administration of US President Donald Trump.
Sputnik quoted Polyansky as saying, "With the new (US) administration, communication has become easier. I think they are more open at the moment, but the old team is still there and receiving new instructions."
He added, "The US Mission, with its current composition, appointed by former President Joe Biden, is doing its best under the current circumstances to work with Russia," noting that "it is extremely important for the US Mission to have a new head."
