The demonstrations, held under the slogan "Steadfast with Gaza and Palestine... Against Killers and Tyrants," saw widespread participation from students, faculty, and staff.
The protests, organized by the university and the Student Forum, took place at the Arts Complex, the Literature Complex, the main university campus, and the faculties of Education, Dentistry, and Education in Zabid. Participants raised Yemeni and Palestinian flags and held banners expressing solidarity and denouncing the crimes of the enemy.
Protesters chanted angry slogans against the U.S.-Zionist aggression, emphasizing that Yemen—both its people and institutions—remains firm in its moral and humanitarian stance alongside Palestine. They declared that all attempts at intimidation and aggression would not shake Yemen’s principled position against global arrogance.
The participants reiterated Al Hudaydah University’s role as a beacon of knowledge and revolution, standing at the forefront of the nation’s causes, particularly the Palestinian issue. They affirmed that the university’s voice would remain resounding against the invaders—a free and unbroken voice.
A statement issued during the protests asserted that the crimes committed by the U.S. in Yemen and the Zionists in Gaza reflect their confusion in the face of the resilience of free nations. It emphasized that Yemen’s unwavering popular stance is an inseparable part of the existential battle the nation is fighting to defend its dignity and sanctities.
The statement condemned the repeated massacres of civilians in Yemeni provinces and Gaza as a failed attempt to break the will of the free. It stressed that Yemen’s response to aggression, in support of Gaza, reinforces the equation of regional deterrence against the U.S.-Zionist project.
The statement called for enhancing comprehensive mobilization in academic circles, expanding anti-aggression activities, and escalating the economic boycott campaign against American and Israeli goods as a practical stance exposing their complicity in shedding Arab blood.
The protests saw broad participation from deans, faculty members, administrative staff, and large crowds of students, reflecting a high level of national awareness and readiness to engage in popular & intellectual resistance.
