UNICEF Warns: Children in Gaza face increasing risk of hunger, disease, & death

Gaza - Saba:
The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) has warned that children in the Gaza Strip face a growing threat of hunger, disease, and death, with no justification for their suffering after two months of a suffocating Israeli siege.

This came in a statement by UNICEF Executive Director Catherine Russell on Friday, highlighting the dire situation of children in Gaza following two months of Israeli blockade and the prevention of humanitarian aid.

Russell renewed her call to lift the siege on Gaza, allow the entry of commercial goods, release detainees, and protect children.

The UN official stated: "For two months, children in Gaza have endured relentless bombardment, deprived of essential goods and services, including life-saving healthcare. With each passing day of the Israeli blockade on aid, they face an escalating risk of starvation, disease, and death—and there is no justification for this."
