The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) said that global food prices rose to their highest level in two years last April, indicating that uncertainty over tariffs is beginning to weigh on trade.

The organization added in a statement that global food commodity prices rose in April, driven by higher prices for cereals, meat, and dairy products.
