The Kuwait Stock Exchange closed trading on Tuesday with its general index rising by 16.70 points, or 0.21 percent, to reach 7,917.92 points.

A total of 620 million shares were traded through 25,233 spot transactions, valued at 112.19 million dinars (approximately $343.3 million).

The Main Market Index fell 16.98 points, or 0.24 percent, to 7,202.05 points, with 475 million shares traded through 15,914 cash transactions, valued at KWD 54.6 million (approximately $167 million). Meanwhile, the Premier Market Index added 25.93 points, or 0.31 percent, to 8,487.68 points, with 144.9 million shares traded through 9,319 transactions, valued at KWD 57.5 million (approximately $175.9 million).

The Main 50 Index gained 0.14 points to 7,116.09 points, with 396 million shares traded through 13,062 cash transactions, valued at KWD 48.4 million (approximately $148.10 million).
