The Kremlin announced that Russian President Vladimir Putin has ordered a ceasefire and a cessation of all military operations during the 80th anniversary of the Victory Day, from May 8 to 11.
The Kremlin statement read: "By decision of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, President Vladimir Putin, and based on humanitarian considerations, the Russian side declares a ceasefire during the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Victory Day, from midnight on May 7-8 until midnight on May 10-11. During this period, all military operations will cease."
