Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov announced Russian President Vladimir Putin's support for the idea of a complete ceasefire in Ukraine, proposed by US President Donald Trump.
Commenting on Trump's initiative, Peskov told the French newspaper Le Point on Wednesday: "Putin supports this idea, but before moving forward, some specific questions must be answered."
Peskov asked: "If this ceasefire had taken effect today, would France have stopped supplying ammunition, artillery, missiles, and air defense systems to Kyiv tomorrow? Or the United Kingdom?"
Peskov indicated that the situation on the front lines is evolving in Russia's favor.
It is worth noting that US President Donald Trump proposed a 30-day ceasefire in Ukraine last March.
Commenting on this initiative, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Russia supports it, but some aspects require further discussion.
