Thousands of Mauritanians demonstrated in the capital Nouakchott on Friday to reject the Zionist genocidal war on Gaza Strip and to demand an end to the aggression against the Palestinians.
According to Anadolu Agency, the demonstration started in front of the Grand Mosque in Nouakchott after Friday prayers, where participants raised the flags of Palestine and Mauritania.
The demonstrators also held pictures of a number of Hamas leaders, including the late Ismail Haniyeh , Yahya Sinwar, and chanted slogans in support of the factions in Gaza and against the continuation of the Zionist genocidal war on Gaza Strip.
Among the chants were "Gaza is writing victory with its blood," "Gaza is a symbol of resistance," and "Silence on the continuation of the genocide in Gaza is a crime."
The demonstration was called by the Student Initiative Against Zionist Penetration and Defense of Just Causes, a non-governmental organization that organizes events in support of the Palestinian people.
The demonstrators demanded the severing of diplomatic relations with the United States, which they held responsible for the continued Zionist aggression on Gaza.
