Occupied Quds – SABA:

Zionist occupation forces arrested Palestinian journalist Nadine Jaafar on Friday in the city of occupied Quds.

According to local sources speaking to the media, the journalist was detained by the occupation forces at Bab al-Ghawanmeh, one of the gates to the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound.

This is not the first time Jaafar has been targeted. The Zionist authorities previously arrested her on March 4 while she was at Al-Aqsa Mosque, where she was handed an order banning her from the mosque for one week before being released after several hours of detention.

In April 2024, Jaafar was physically assaulted by Zionist forces while covering an event at Bab al-Amoud in Jerusalem, resulting in multiple contusions.

Since early March, journalists in Jerusalem have been subjected to escalating harassment and threats. The occupation has expelled several of them from the Al-Aqsa Mosque for varying periods, in an attempt to suppress press freedom and prevent the truth about Zionist assaults in Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa from reaching the public.
