Amran - Saba:
Zakat Commission branch in Amran province inaugurated on Thursday the project to disburse Zakat al-Fitr and cash assistance to those who are unable to work and poor cases in the districts of the province for the year 1446 AH.
In launching the project, which targets more than 30,800 families at a cost of 22,616 million riyals, Deputy Governor Hussein Al-Ashqas emphasized the importance of these projects in providing support to poor families and alleviating their suffering.
At the inauguration, which was attended by the director of the Postal Authority branch, Abdullah al-Dhyani, a speech was delivered by the director of the Zakat Authority branch, Mohammed al-Shahrani, in which he called on financiers and merchants from the province to take the initiative to take out their zakat to benefit the poor, the needy and the orphans.
He explained that the aid will be disbursed through post offices in the districts, while it will be disbursed to remote areas through exchange networks.
