The Central Emergency Development Interventions Unit, in collaboration with local authorities, the Multipurpose Cooperative Society, and the Community Initiatives Department, launched on Tuesday the distribution of cement and diesel to support community road initiatives in Yarim and Radmah districts, Ibb province.
The distribution included 1,500 bags of cement and 3,500 liters of diesel for Yarim initiatives, and 1,500 bags of cement for Radmah initiatives, as part of a program supporting community-led road projects.
Officials, including Mohammed al-Qahoum, Secretary General of the Agricultural Cooperative Union, and Ahmed Al-Hasani, Public Mobilization Officer in Yarim, praised the Interventions Unit's support, emphasizing its importance in completing community projects and alleviating citizen suffering.
They highlighted the unit's commitment to supporting community initiatives across various sectors, including roads, water, and education, and commended citizens' self-reliance in driving local development.
Eng. Zain al-Nahmi, head of the disbursement committee, and Abdullah Ubad, executive director of the association, stated that the support aligns with directives to achieve sustainable development through community-led initiatives in agriculture, roads, and other sectors.
They emphasized the unit's ongoing efforts to enhance infrastructure and improve services, particularly in rural areas, and praised the cooperation between local authorities and communities.
Abdullah al-Farah, director of al-Radmah district, expressed gratitude for the Interventions Unit's support, which empowers residents to implement essential service projects.
