Sana'a - Saba:
Capital Sana'a Scout Commission, led by Hamoud al-Naqeeb, reviewed the progress of its annual voluntary scouting campaigns on Tuesday. These campaigns, now in their tenth year, focus on community service during Ramadan.
The campaigns encompass various activities, including assisting traffic police, cleaning mosques, visiting the wounded, and distributing Eid clothing to underprivileged children.
The meeting, attended by key officials and scout leaders, focused on the ongoing traffic police support campaign, the largest initiative organized by the Commission, involving 100 scouts and leaders at key intersections.
Al-Naqeeb praised the scout leaders and youth for their dedication to the success of the community service campaigns, highlighting the Scout movement's commitment to voluntary initiatives throughout the year. He also acknowledged their participation in religious and national events.
Dr. Abdulwahab Sharaf al-Din commended the scouts' resilience in overcoming challenges to implement the campaigns, particularly amidst the ongoing "aggression and blockade."
Ali Shamlan, the Capital Sana'a Scout Commissioner, detailed the Commission's activities throughout the year, including a cultural program featuring Quran recitation competitions and awareness-raising initiatives.
