Since the beginning of Ramadan, the Office of Economy, Industry and Investment in Capital Secretariat has been conducting a field campaign to control prices , commercial and industrial establishments in various districts of the capital.
During the first week of Ramadan, 198 commercial violations were seized and nine violations were referred to the Public Prosecution, the director of the office, Majid Al-Sada, told the Yemeni News Agency (Saba). He pointed out that during the past two months, the office destroyed about 200 tons of expired foodstuffs.
Al-Sada pointed out that the field teams of the office and its branches in the directorates of the Secretariat will continue the monitoring campaign and go to the markets and commercial establishments and control supply violations during the Holy Month and the Eid al-Fitr holiday.
He called on all owners of commercial establishments to abide by the prices and instructions issued by the Internal Trade Sector. He stressed that the office will not hesitate to take legal measures against violators.
