Algeria - Saba:
Algeria's liquefied gas exports recorded a noticeable recovery at the beginning of this year, compared to the last months of last year.
The Algerian newspaper Ennahar said today, Friday, that liquefied gas exports reached 0.68 million tons during last February, compared to 0.38 million tons in January 2025, with a monthly increase of 0.30 million tons.
Export operations witnessed a remarkable diversity, as half of the produced shipment was directed to Turkey, with a quantity of 0.35 million tons, followed by France with 0.30 million tons, then Italy with 0.03 million tons.
Liquefied gas exports during the current month witnessed a decrease on an annual basis of 0.30 million tons, reaching 0.98 million tons in February 2024, due to routine maintenance operations witnessed by the gas liquefaction unit in Arzew.
Algerian liquefied gas exports are expected to return to their usual levels, at 0.1 million tons, after the complete completion of routine maintenance operations for gas liquefaction units, especially since Algeria concluded important export agreements with European countries during 2024, such as Britain, Croatia, the Czech Republic and Slovenia.
