At least nine people were killed on Tuesday in a suicide attack on a security site in northwestern Pakistan.
Reuters quoted local police in Bannu district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province as saying: "The attack also resulted in 18 people being injured, and this toll does not include the losses of the security forces."
Police officials indicated that the attack was carried out with a car bomb, while an unnamed military official explained that two suicide bombers stormed a security site with two car bombs, but the attack was thwarted by security forces.
The official added that the clash between security forces and the attacking militants after the explosion resulted in the killing of six militants.
No party immediately claimed responsibility for the attack, while it is noteworthy that the region has witnessed an escalation in attacks by the "Taliban Pakistan" on sites belonging to the Pakistani police and military in areas near the Afghan border in recent years.

Egypt declares agreement on figures to lead Gaza Executive Committee

Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel Aati on Wednesday, said "the figures who will head the committee concerned with managing the Gaza Strip for a period of six months have been agreed upon."
Abdel Aati confirmed, during press statements following the announcement of the final statement of the emergency Arab summit held in Cairo yesterday, Tuesday, that "he will ask the Organization of Islamic Cooperation during an emergency meeting in Jeddah next Friday to adopt the Gaza reconstruction plan approved by the Arab leaders during the emergency Arab summit on Gaza held in Cairo yesterday, Tuesday - so that it will be an Arab plan and an Islamic plan."
He added that an agreement was reached during the Arab summit on a set of constants, the most important of which is the complete rejection of the displacement of Palestinians and the embodiment of the Palestinian state on the entire Palestinian national territory, stressing that "there is an Arab consensus on adopting the Egyptian plan to rebuild and develop the Gaza Strip."
He explained that "there will be an international fund to mobilize funding to spend on rebuilding Gaza, and there is a vision related to forming a committee to manage the affairs of the sector for a specific period of time and with figures from the sector."
He stressed that the first phase of reconstruction includes providing temporary housing for more than 1.2 million Palestinians currently living in the open, in addition to converting them into permanent housing units within the first phase of reconstruction, along with dealing with all existing challenges such as rubble and explosives until the final phase.
Abdel-Ati pointed out that "100 countries will participate in the Gaza Reconstruction Conference," noting that the first phase of reconstruction includes converting temporary housing units into permanent ones.

The final statement of the summit also expressed "condemnation of the policies of starvation and scorched earth aimed at forcing the Palestinian people to leave their land, while stressing the need for "Israel", the occupying power, to abide by the relevant international legitimacy resolutions, which reject any attempts to change the demographic composition of the Palestinian territory."
