Cuba - Saba:
The US Geological Survey announced today, Sunday, that a 7.6-magnitude earthquake struck the Caribbean Sea, prompting a tsunami warning to be issued in Cuba, Honduras and the Cayman Islands for a short period.
According to the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center, which also initially put nine other countries on alert, the earthquake occurred in the central Caribbean Sea, and waves were expected to reach three meters in Cuba and one meter in Honduras and the Cayman Islands.
The alert was raised without any damage reported.
It is worth noting that last November, two strong earthquakes struck off the southern coast of Cuba, but without causing any injuries or issuing a tsunami warning.
