Sana'a - Saba:
The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning expected cold and very cold weather in a number of governorates during the next 24 hours.
The center stated in its weather bulletin that it expects very cold weather in the governorates of Al Bayda, the highlands of Ibb, Dhamar, Sana'a, Amran, western Al Jawf and Saada, and it does not rule out the formation of frost (thunder) in parts of them.
It is likely that the weather will be cold in the desert areas, south and west of Marib and the highlands of Al Dhale'e, Lahj and Abyan, as well as the plateaus of Shabwa, Hadhramaut and Al Mahrah.
It indicated that the weather is likely to be relatively cold to cold in the highlands of the governorates of Hajjah, Al Mahwit, Raymah and Taiz.
The lowest temperatures recorded at some weather stations this morning were 0.6 in Dhamar, 1.4 in Al Bayda, 2.4 in Amran, 2.6 in Sana'a, 6.2 in Sayoun, 6.7 in As Sadah - Ibb, 8.9 in Al Jawf.
The center warned citizens of the cold and very cold weather during the night and early morning hours, especially the elderly, children and the sick.
It called on farmers to take precautions and beware of the effects of the very cold weather and the formation of frost (the tax), and to take the necessary measures to protect crops, as well as livestock herders, beekeepers and poultry farmers to shelter them in healthy and warm places.
