The city of Taiz witnessed violent explosions today at an arms depot belonging to aggression mercenaries in one of its neighborhoods, causing massive damage to buildings and property and resulting in multiple casualties.
Local sources in Taiz reported that a warehouse linked to the so-called "22nd Brigade" of aggression mercenaries exploded, triggering fires and damaging buildings, vehicles, and a nearby fuel station. The depot reportedly contained weapons, ammunition, mortar shells, and tank rounds, which were scattered across the area due to the blast.
An explosives manufacturing facility in the nearby Al-Harbi building also detonated, completely destroying the structure and damaging surrounding buildings. The explosions killed and wounded civilians as well as members of the 22nd Brigade.
This incident follows a series of similar explosions and repeated attacks by aggression mercenaries against civilians in Taiz, resulting in numerous deaths and injuries.
Areas under the control of aggression mercenaries in Taiz continue to experience security chaos and infighting among militias with conflicting allegiances.
