The General Authority for Insurance and Pensions commenced the disbursement of the first half of March 2021 pensions for civilian retirees on Thursday.
Ibrahim Al-Hayfi, Chairman of the Authority, explained to the Yemeni News Agency (SABA) that the disbursement is being carried out under the temporary exceptional mechanism to support state employees, in accordance with the provisions of Law No. (2) of 1446 AH. This mechanism ensures the regular disbursement of pensions through 12 annual payment cycles.
He noted that this step comes as a result of intensive efforts and continuous coordination with the Ministers of Finance and Civil Service & Administrative Development to ensure the regular continuity of pension disbursements. This falls within the framework of the Change and Development Government Program, which places special emphasis on retirees in recognition of their long service and contributions to the nation.
The Chairman of the Insurance and Pensions Authority urged retirees and their authorized representatives to visit post offices with the necessary documents to facilitate the receipt of their pensions.
