Zionist enemy delays release of batch of Palestinian prisoners
[Thu, 30 Jan 2025 18:16:24 +0300]

Gaza - Saba:

The Zionist enemy delayed on Thursday the release of a batch of Palestinian prisoners, claiming scenes of wide public participation in handing over its prisoners to the resistance in Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip.

The Palestinian Prisoners' Media Office said in a press statement that "after following up on the matter with mediators, the Palestinian prisoners will be released later this evening."

Before that, the Zionist enemy's army radio said that the political level issued instructions to the prison administration to freeze the release of Palestinian prisoners today until further notice.

The enemy's instructions came under the pretext of wide popular participation in the process of handing over the occupation's prisoners, and the great public embrace of the fighters of the Martyr Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades and the resistance.

Ministers in the enemy government opposed the scenes of handing over the occupation's prisoners today, especially in the city of Khan Yunis in front of the rubble of the house of the martyred head of the Hamas movement, Yahya al-Sinwar, considering it an unacceptable provocation.

Today, the Palestinian resistance factions handed over a number of Zionist prisoners and foreign workers detained in the Gaza Strip to the International Red Cross crews, on the 12th day of the ceasefire in Gaza.

Al-Qassam Brigades released the Zionist female prisoner "Agam Berger" from the rubble of Jabalia camp in the northern Gaza Strip, which witnessed major Zionist bombing and destruction operations as part of the bloody military operation launched by the enemy army, during which a large number of enemy soldiers were killed and wounded.

Al-Qassam and al-Quds Brigades fighters also handed over the Zionist prisoners "Arbel Yehud" and "Gadi Moses" and five Thai detainees from in front of the rubble of the house of the martyred leader Yahya Sinwar in Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip, as part of the third batch of prisoner exchange according to the ceasefire agreement.

The two handovers took place amidst a high public embrace and participation, and chants supporting the resistance and praising its sacrifices
