The branch of the General Authority for Land, Survey, and Urban Planning in Dhamar province on Tuesday organized a cultural event to mark the anniversary of Rajab Friday.
During the event, Director of the Authority's branch Abdulghani al-Dailami highlighted the significant spiritual and historical meaning of Rajab Friday, emphasizing its importance in reinforcing the Yemeni people's faith identity.
Al-Dailami reflected on how Yemen's embrace of Islam played a vital role in spreading the religion and supporting the cause of Islam worldwide.
He urged attendees to draw lessons from the sacrifices made by past generations in defending the faith and thwarting conspiracies against it.
Al-Dailami stressed the necessity of preserving the faith identity for future generations to combat ongoing threats to their land, honor, and sanctities.
Cultural activist Youssef Abdulghani also spoke at the event, outlining the historical contributions of the Yemeni people in spreading Islam, supporting the Prophet Muhammad and his family, and participating in the Islamic conquests.
He pointed out the contemporary conspiracies targeting the Islamic nation and emphasized Yemen's continued role in supporting Palestine and defending Islamic sanctities.
Abdulghani concluded by asserting that celebrating Rajab Friday helps raise awareness about the importance of preserving the Islamic faith and identity, stressing the need to confront efforts that seek to divert the nation from the true path of Islam.
