The local authority and the executive office in Shabwa Governorate on Sunday held an event to commemorate the third anniversary of the martyrdom of the deputy governor, Ahmed Mohammed Abdullah Al-Hamza.
During the event - which was attended by Undersecretary of Administration and Local and Rural Development Nasser Al-Mahdar, the governors of Hadhramaut Luqman Baras and Al-Mahra Al-Qa'tabi Al-Faraji, and Shabwa deputy governors - Deputy Governor Salah Al-Sayed hailed the commemoration of Al-Hamza's martyrdom as remembrance of all the heroism of the martyrs of Shabwa and the martyrs of the homeland in general, who are alive with their Lord, and in the hearts of all the sons of the Yemeni people who draw inspiration from their exploits, heroism and sacrifices as the greatest lessons.
He stated that what the homeland has achieved today in terms of victory, pride and strength was achieved thanks to Allah Almighty and thanks to the sacrifices of the martyrs, indicating that Martyr Ahmed Al-Hamza was a unique and loyal educator in the field of education, and he set out in response to the call of duty to defend his religion, homeland and people in the fields of jihad, like the rest of the honorable and free people from all governorates.
Undersecretary Al-Sayed said Martyr Al-Hamza had a prominent role in supporting the armed forces on the fronts of pride and dignity in Bayhan Shabwa and various fronts, in confronting the aggression and supporting the grievance of the Yemeni people.
The position of Yemen, its leadership and people, with Gaza and the Palestinian Cause is an honorable religious, national, moral and humanitarian stance that reflects the greatness of this steadfast people and the greatness of the faith-based leadership that bore its full responsibilities before Allah Almighty and before the Yemeni people and the Arab and Islamic nation, he added.
The leadership did not make any concessions to all the tyrants of the world and became, with its honest and strong position to support Gaza, a subject of discussion, respect and appreciation for the entire world, Sayed said.
Shabwa deputy governor urged the public to immortalize the exploits and heroism of the martyrs and document them in books so that generations can learn about their heroism and sacrifices that created this victory, pride and dignity for their homeland and people.
Deputy Governor Hamza Al-Hamza considered the commemoration of the third anniversary of the martyrdom of Ahmed Al-Hamza an important station to draw inspiration from the highest meanings of sacrifice made by the martyrs in confronting the Saudi-Emirati-American-Israeli aggression and their followers.
He stated that Martyr Ahmed Al-Hamza remained loyal to his homeland, people and leadership and fought the battle against the brutal aggression with all sincerity and dedication and offered his soul for the sake of Allah.
The event included an awareness speech about the martyrs and the greatness of their status and position with Allah Almighty and a poem and expressive religious chants.
